An education question…

…the chapter would like to offer a CSCP Certification Exam preparation course. We’re attempting to gauge the level of interest among potential students. The details: The course would meet twice per week in the evening for three hours per session. The duration would be seven weeks scheduled to prepare students for the June 21st certification exam. The cost, including training materials, would be $1,295 for APICS members and $1,395 for non-members. This does not include the APICS exam fee. The location is subject to the needs of participants.

Interested? Questions? Please contact Jeanny Ng at 448-1377 or jeanny.ng@igt.com

Carson City opportunities…

…the chapter is collaborating with Western Nevada College and Management Assistance Partnership in offering Presentation Skills for Trainers. This is a two-day workshop coming up in January. Details and registration are on the chapter website.

…we’re offering the first CPIM course, Basics of Supply Chain Management, in Carson City beginning February 4th. The chapter website provides information and registration.

…we’ll be holding our annual Carson City Professional Development Meeting at the Carson Nugget on April 8th. This will be a joint meeting with the Society of Women Engineers. The topic of the after-dinner presentation will be Value Stream Mapping. As always, the website will be the best information source.
