Second call…

… for individuals that might be interested in serving on the chapter’s board of directors. The all-volunteer board launches a new year July 1st and all of the current board members have agreed to continue with the board. This means new board members will have an opportunity to work with an experienced member for a year prior to assuming a primary role.

Board service is a matter of a few hours per month; most members spend between three and five hours (including board meetings) helping run the chapter. Board meetings are held monthly and we are committed to limiting their duration to one-hour. Board service is a great way to network and boost your career. We are looking for help in most areas: membership, marketing, education, finance, and communications. Again, there will be knowledgeable volunteers filling these roles for the coming year and systems and procedures for all functions are in place. New board members will have a chance to work with experienced members in preparation for assuming the primary roles. No one is stuck in a role they haven’t had an opportunity to learn.

Please contact me (775-745-3986) or any chapter board member if you are interested in this opportunity.
