President's Message
January 30, 2008APICS Announces New Membership Dues Structure The APICS Board of Directors has approved a new dues structure to take effect April 1st, 2008. The change brings uniform dues pricing across the entire organization and it is accompanied by significantly enhanced member benefits. Currently, a component of membership dues are set on a chapter-by-chapter basis resulting in geographic variability. This variability will be eliminated. Overall, dues for Professional Members of the Northern Sierra Chapter will increase by $70 to $200 annually. Association (the chapter’s parent organization) dues will rise from $110 to $150 and chapter dues will rise from the current $20 to $50. Your chapter’s leaders are considering how best to utilize this new revenue ($30 per renewing or new member) to benefit members and we are open to suggestions. You are welcome to send your ideas to me at dsteiger@charter.net. Read the entire APICS newsletter article with a detailed description of enhanced member programs and services here.
