President's Message
May 1, 2009
We are approaching the end of our program year and our May dinner
meeting. Traditionally at this time of year, the chapter recognizes the
accomplishments of its members and thanks its volunteers. This year is
no exception.
Congratulations...
… to the six chapter members that
achieved CPIM certification during the past year:
Jim Cole (IGT), Carson Schott (Cooper Industries),
Matthew Tomich (LSP Products), Stephen Hybil (IGT), Cornelius
Rivera (IGT), and Mark Denninger (IGT).
Thank you...
Rick Leach, CPIM, CSCP; Jim Tarr, CPIM; Ted Day,
CPIM; Art Salt, CPIM; Tony Trexler, CPIM.
… and to our volunteer chapter board members. These are the people that
keep the chapter running:
Linda McNeil, CPIM (IGT); Jeanny Ng, CPIM, CSCP (IGT);
Art Landacre (McKernan Packaging); Jeff Lawrence, CPIM (MAP);
Ed Miller, CPIM (IGT); Diego Montoya (IGT); Mark Denninger,
CPIM (IGT); Ted Day, CPIM (Veterans Administration).
Thank you very much for your efforts.
A new Board of Directors is forming and there are some openings.
Please consider volunteering a little bit of your time to helping the
chapter. Board service is a commitment of a few hours per month. It’s not a
second job. Here’s a thanks in advance to Scott Hasterlik (Dell
Computer) who has agreed to serve as a member of the new board.
More congratulations…
...to the seven participants who recently successfully completed the Master
Planning of Resources CPIM Review Course held in Carson City: Andrew
Bergantz (Starbucks), Mundi Hamilton (Starbucks), Jeff Hevener
(The Cable Connection), Sheri Irwin (Click Bond), Viktoria
Szlabonyi (Starbucks), Jaime Villegas (American AVK), Rachael
Williams (Starbucks). The class instructor was Jim Tarr, CPIM.
A new CPIM course series begins June 22nd with the Basics of Supply
Chain Management. The course will be held Mondays and Thursdays at the IGT
Training Center in Reno. Tony Trexler, CPIM will be the instructor.
