What Matters?
Question is: what matters to me in 2010? I hope you are all asking yourselves this question. If Education, Advancement, Growth within your Company, Connecting with Peers, or similar responses come to mind, one answer is clear – Northern Sierra Chapter’s CPIM and CSCP classes and our monthly professional dinner meetings.
Upcoming CPIM review classes are scheduled for Reno and Minden, and are open to anyone interested. Next up in Reno is SMR (Strategic Management of Resources), beginning March 1 and ending April 1, to be taught by Michelle Danielson. Then the entire CPIM series will start over in Reno the third week of April.
The next class offered in Minden is MPR (Master Planning of Resources), from March 8 through April 8, with instructor Rick Leach, followed by the next three modules in the series.
Currently, the ECO (Execution and Control of Operations) class in Reno will be wrapping up next week, with these six students completing their review – Eduardo Menjivar, Steve Planka, Mike Rodriguez, Hung Huey, Debbie Carter, and Lisa Parkinson. This class is being taught by one of our board members, Scott Hasterlik.
In Minden the following twelve students will finish BSCM (Basics of Supply Chain Management), also in February: Ahmad Ahmad, Adrian Cobb, Joy Curtis, Deb Epps, Dale Jackson, Todd Kirchoff, Tobie McCubbin, Lelana Moralez, Tammy Rhead, Steve Roy, Kenneth Schneider, and Joseph Sedminik. This class is being taught by Rick Leach, whom one might consider to be a Nevada ‘gold nugget’. He is a big supporter of our local chapter. Read more about him in this article: Membership Matters
The chapter was recently contacted by a company in Reno to teach a 3 day in-house class for 25 employees, which we have also managed to squeeze into the month of February!
Now for some really big news – we are offering the CSCP Review class on each of the five Saturdays in May, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with half hour lunch (5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, and 5/29). This class will be taught by Rick Leach, and is described as follows. Please check our website for more details.
