YOUR TICKET TO MARCH MADNESS

APICS Northern Sierra doesn’t really have March Madness, do we? No, not unless you consider the following upcoming events to be as inspiring as NCAA collegiate basketball tournaments that will define national champions! Just wanted to get your attention . . .

Starting March 1 in Reno is Strategic Management of Resources, the capstone module of the CPIM series. If you wish to start at the beginning of the entire CPIM series, you only have to mark your calendar for April 19, when the Basics of Supply Chain Management class is scheduled. In Minden the next class is Master Planning of Resources, which begins March 8. And the next module, Detailed Scheduling and Planning, begins April 26.

Many of you will want to sign up soon for our montly PDM, scheduled for Tuesday, March 9. Come listen to Pieter Droog, who will present his views on the current economic downturn, in his usual dynamic manner. We are very pleased to have him return to the podium at our Northern Sierra chapter dinner meeting.

Speaking of PDMs, here is a link to information from our February presenter, whose topic was Logistics Outsourcing. For those who missed it you may find some points of interest, Logistics Outsourcing.

And once again we want to advertise the CSCP Review class offered in May, for 8 hours on each Saturday, with half hour lunch, which will be co-taught by Rick Leach, District Director, and John Newlyn, District Manager of the Pacific Western District of APICS. Rick and John both have received recognition through APICS’s Instructor Development Program, which was created to enhance instructors’ skills and experience. Please check our website for more details on the CSCP class as well as all other Northern Sierra chapter madness occurring in March and the rest of spring. Cheers and good luck for your favorite team!
