Chapter President
David Steiger, CPIM
 |
David has more than
twenty years experience in hands-on manufacturing leadership. His
experience includes stints as a Production Manager, Production Planner,
Production Supervisor, Plant Engineer, Maintenance Manager, and
Environmental Manager. Areas of emphasis include process improvement and
practical application of lean manufacturing principles. He is a
nine-year veteran of The Antioch Company’s very successful full-scale
lean transformation. David has led worker safety-improvement initiatives
from both the plant floor and regulatory perspectives and he is
experienced in management of the practical aspects of environmental
compliance for manufacturers. David is currently a Project Manager with Management Assistance
Partnership (MAP); the industrial outreach of the Nevada System of
Higher Education.
David has been a NORS
member since 1999 and has served on the chapter board since 2003. He
believes APICS and its Northern Sierra Chapter are worthy of support and
he participates for the educational, leadership development, and
networking opportunities the organization provides. David achieved CPIM
certification in 2006.

Linda McNeil,
CPIM

BA in Accountancy – University of Missouri –
Columbia;
CPA – State of Colorado, 1984;
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
Linda started her career as a CPA in Colorado during
the 1980s, then moved into Customer Service with several airlines during the
1990s. She moved to Reno, NV, in 1997 and has been employed at IGT for the last
9 years. Within IGT she began in several Accounting departments, moved to
Production Operations in May, 2007, and completed her CPIM in September, 2007.
Linda feels very strongly that APICS offers great
educational and networking benefits, and is very excited to be on the board and
supporting the Northern Sierra Chapter.
In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor sports, movies,
and travel.

Jeff Lawrence, CPIM

MBA in Finance & Management, University of Chicago; BS in Business
Administration - Operations & Systems Management, Indiana University;
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
More than twenty years of experience in materials, production, and
warehouse management. Over 6 years experience in software companies that
focused on manufacturing and the supply chain. Manufacturing areas of
expertise include Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints (TOC),
Demand Flow Technology (DFT), Electronics/High Tech Manufacturing and
Outsourcing. Software areas of expertise include constraint based
planning, master scheduling, shop floor control, configurators, and
collaborative commerce.

Vice President, Education
Jeanny Ng, CPIM
|
Jeanny Ng is a Senior Buyer/Planner at International Game
Technology. She has been with IGT since March of 2004. She is responsible for
the procurement and scheduling of commodities such as power supplies, ballasts,
and lamps. She also works as the Supplier Management Diversity Coordinator for
IGT’s Supplier Management department. In this capacity, Jeanny is responsible
for finding, recruiting, and evaluating women-, minority-, physically/mentally
challenged-, and service disabled veteran-owned businesses as suppliers for IGT.
She is also responsible for tracking and reporting all supplier diversity
related expenditures and activities within the company.
Jeanny is a Nevada native. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology
and Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Reno, as well as, a Masters
in Business Administration from Morrison University. Mrs. Ng is a member of the
Institute of Supply Chain Management and The Association for Operations
Management. She is also A.P.P., C.P.M., CPIM, and CSCP certified.

Ted Day, CPIM
|
Ted Day received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial &
Manufacturing Engineering from Montana State University. He became
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), while doing
project work for Roseburg Forest Product in Oregon. Ted has over twenty
years experience in manufacturing, having held management positions in
materials, quality, shipping and production. He also worked for several
years as a manufacturing consultant for the Montana Manufacturing
Extension Center. Ted has instructed ‘Master Planning of Resources’ and
‘Detailed Scheduling and Planning’ CPIM courses, as well as ‘Fundamental
of Planning’ and ‘Fundamentals of Inventory Control’. In his spare time
he enjoys gardening, hiking, and fly fishing

Art Landacre

Art Landacre moved from the Monterey Bay area of California to Nevada in 2001 and is currently employed with McKernan Packaging. He has an extensive background in various business environments with a strong focus in procurement. In his spare time, Art likes to visit grandchildren, walk/hike, read and travel.
Art previously held the position of Vice President of Programs and is very excited to be the newly elected Director of Membership for the Northern Sierra Chapter of APICS. Art looks forward to the opportunity to give back to an organization that he truly enjoys being a part of. Art enjoys the learning opportunities and dynamics that are available through APICS.

Michelle Danielson, CPIM |
Michelle Danielson is currently a Senior Buyer for International Game Technology in Reno, Nevada. She has been a member of APICS for over 2 years and in December, 2004 received her CPIM certification.
Michelle's background was in Retail and Distribution buying. When she came to work for IGT she realized the necessity of learning more about the entire manufacturing process. The CPIM classes gave her the education she needed and were a big help to get a jump start in the manufacturing business.
Michelle decided to join the Board of Directors for the Northern Sierra Chapter to meet people within and continually increase her knowledge of the manufacturing industry. Being on the Board has helped her to take a leadership role and has given her the opportunity to give something back to the community.
